What is community project that can be supported through Fairbnb.coop?

Community projects are those implemented by local or national organizations that** contribute to achieving the local nodes' sustainable goals** and are funded through the re-distribution of the platform fees. Fairbnb.coop gives 50% of its fee paid by our users as their donations back to the destinations where they travel to contribute to the implementation of the community project by their choice.

In their kind, community projects funded through our platform should be social, cultural, or environmental and aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

LN Ambassadors are required to identify the first project for the node's activation and assist them in the application process. In the future, when the Ambassador manages to gather the community of hosts, activists, local authorities representatives, and others, that community gets to decide on the needs of the local node and choose the projects of their interest.

If there are hosts within the country whose areas haven't been managed by the LN Ambassadors yet, but there is a National Coordinator for the specific country, they are in charge of finding national projects and guiding them through the application process.
