What are local rules for becoming a Fairbnb.coop host?

Together with other community members, LN Ambassadors set the local rules for the hosts to maximize positive and minimize negative impacts of tourism in their local communities.

When working on setting the criteria, LN Ambassador consider all specifics of the node and the needs of the community, but also include mandatory elements as follows:

Lawfulness is the first condition for all host in any local node. ‌All hosts should comply with the local regulations.

Allowed rental capacity of the single host depends on the destination's carrying capacity and is determined by the LN Ambassador and the members of the local Fairbnb.coop community. It could vary from "1 host - 1 home policy", our suggested rule of sustainability for endangered communities, to the higher number if that's significant for fighting depopulation or unemployment in some areas.

LN Ambassadors can include other additional rules that they and their community came up with as a possible long-term solution to the sustainability of the local node.
